In reading J/F's description of Rhetorical Criticism questions (Chapter 3) I'd like to discuss Werlin's purpose for writing "Rules." All of Matt's graphic descriptions of Nikki's manipulative mind games and power plays against her children have to be written for reasons other than entertainment. What are the reasons? What is Werlin trying to say to us through this text?
