I have to admit I'm totally in Reynold's corner on the censorship fight. It's re-goddamn-diculous that professionals (teachers, administrators, and aides) can't realize that students aren't naive and waiting for teachers to remove the wool from their eyes. These kids have been exposed to many of the things we have, and some of them have seen more. Finding yourself in the Super's office because a story that engrossed all the students in your class had the "F" word in it is quite disheartening.
I do, however, have a criticism. She seems to be very proud of her own novels, not that she shouldn't be. It seems at times though that she's trying to sell more copies of that series than get her true ideas across. I don't want to knock the message because her ideas seem to be logical and stand a good chance of success, but I feel I must call BS when it shows itself.
